Semiconductor Day is designed to attract new talent to the semiconductor and technology industries by highlighting the advancements and career opportunities made possible through microelectronics.

Our mission is to inform students that microelectronics is a growing arena on the cusp of a completely connected, smart future that is radically changing everyday life. The semiconductor  and technology industries offer opportunities to play an important role in creating breakthroughs that are shaping our exciting future.

Companies will have opportunities to engage with students via fun and interactive experiences:

  • A Day in the Life Theater: Fifteen-minute talks where industry professionals share their experiences and what to expect. Talks from recent grads are highly encouraged, but all levels of experience welcome.
  • Industry Showcase: Show attendees what makes your organization great with interactive activities! Examples include technology demos, simulators, group activities, games, swag, etc.
  • Ask an Expert Flash Mentoring: Connect with future talent who are actively seeking feedback and advice about the industry and finding a fulfilling careering.
  • Resume Review: Share tips on what employers are looking for and offer students guidance on how to best highlight their education and experience.

Semiconductor Day events in Michigan are FREE for students; SEMI members; companies in the semiconductor/microelectronics manufacturing, design, and materials value chain; and related industry partners through the support of the SEMI Foundation and the Michigan Economic Development Corporation. The SEMI Foundation may offer sponsorship opportunities to support catering, promotional items, and related costs that may not be covered by available funding.
